The Life Cube is designed to be an on-site maneuverable shipping container capable of a rapid deployment into an emergency response shelter. This amazing piece of equipment is able to transform from a hard-walled shipping container into 144 square feet of emergency shelter space in 10 minutes with no tools needed. It has an air beam canopy that is made with a weather-resistant and MSHA-rated fire retardant material.
Each model of the Life Cube ships fully supplied in a rugged cube-shaped container and can be air-dropped or delivered on a pick-up or flatbed truck. When deployed the containers convert into a hard surface floor and the Life Cube can house up to five people for five days with food and water without outside assistance. Designed and manufactured completely in the U.S., the Life Cube shelter comes complete with a self-sufficient power system, Global Positioning System, water filtration devices, propane cook top, first aid kits, ready-to-eat meals (MREs) and a wide variety of essential survival supplies.
The Life Cube is easily transported in its protective compact shell via truck, airplane drop, or hovercraft. Once in its intended destination spot, it is easy to deploy.
Pre-installed components in the interior of the Life Cube can be configured to meet the needs of the end-user with a one-piece solution. Interior components can be configured to respond to issues ranging from:
The mobility hoops allow the unit to be on-site maneuverable without the need of a fork-lift by just one person, even in soft sand. The Life Cube's hard-wall shipping container serves to provide degradation mitigation of the interior components associated with prolonged storage.
The unit is also air-droppable with a maximum landing velocity of 28 ft/sec. If the customer desires, the stackable floor can be configured to allow 8 units per 463L Air Cargo Pallet or 20 units in a standard 20 foot long ISO container. The full unit can be deployed by just one or two persons within 10 minutes with no extra tools. This is the only emergency shelter with an integrated floor, and once it is on the ground, the Life Cube is able to provide protection from the elements, water, food, medical assistance, communications support and power instantly.
The deployed unit sits atop an integrated 144 square foot, hard-surface raised platform:
The interior articulating infrastructure provides strength to the rapidly deployable air frame. With infrastructure in place, the unit can withstand high winds and heavy snow loads
Because the command module is pre-installed and configured for the end-user, the Life Cube is ready for immediate use upon deployment.
